Cooper Grace Ward has an estate planning and disputes team who provide assistance on estate planning and asset protection matters, as well as related revenue law and superannuation issues.

The team provides innovative estate planning advice and documentation including:

• use of generational and direct descendant trusts to “lock in” control of trusts on death of the current controllers
• trust cloning strategies
• strategies to transfer control of trustee and trading companies independently of client Wills
• gift and loan back strategies to shift value out of clients’ estates to related trusts
• strategies to deal with superannuation assets in the event of death
• review of probate documents prior to lodging.

The team also provides estate dispute resolution and litigation services including:

• disputes over Wills
• Guardianship Tribunal work and Protected Estates
• support and advice to other legal professionals on complex estate administration
