Our Experience with Japanese Businesses
We have recently been involved in two takeovers involving Japanese companies. The first was a takeover of a mining company in New South Wales and the second was a takeover of a company that owns and manages a Queensland shopping centre.
We have also acted for Japanese companies involved in substantial investment and development in Australia. As a legal advisor and Board Member of a Japanese company's Australian subsidiaries, one of our partners acted in matters relating to site acquisition and development of hotels and golf course sites at the Gold Coast, and handled project sales.
