At Cooper Grace Ward, we offer a 12-month Graduate Program which encompasses both the PLT and hands-on experience.
For our annual intake, our graduates will come from our Graduate Development Program (see below) and therefore we will not be participating in the QLS graduate employment dates. We may recruit additional graduates later in the year depending on our needs, so we encourage interested graduates to submit applications, including a cover letter, résumé and academic record, through our Careers Centre. If we do recruit additional graduates later in the year, we will be contacting applicants from those in our Careers Centre database.

Graduate Development Program (clerkships)
We offer a two-year Graduate Development Program that provides students currently studying law the opportunity to gain practical experience as research law clerks and within practice workgroups. Students are employed on a part-time basis two years from graduation and typically complete 12 months of research, followed by 12 months of rotations through the firm’s practice workgroups.
Students interested in undertaking CGW’s Graduate Development Program should apply through the Careers Centre.
For those interested in pursuing a legal career, we recognise the importance of gaining first-hand experience. That’s why we offer a number of work experience opportunities to high school and university students each year.
We offer experience during mid-semester and Christmas breaks.
High school students interested in undertaking work experience at CGW should apply through the Careers Centre or have their school make contact with our People and Culture team.
University students interested in undertaking work experience at CGW should apply via the Careers Centre.
