Managing Partner
As managing partner, Chris leads Cooper Grace Ward’s overall practice, management and day-to-day operations. His friendly and approachable leadership style epitomises the firm’s reputation for outstanding client service and internal culture.

Chris has been a litigator for nearly all of his 42 years of practice, focusing on the areas of insurance law, commercial litigation, family law and de facto law cases.

Chris took the reins as managing partner in October 2005 in the shadows of the 25th anniversary of the firm’s formation. As the leader of the firm, Chris defines the essence of our culture, with a strong focus on values, team engagement and corporate citizenship. In addition, Chris continues to play a pivotal role in providing strategic advice to some of the firm’s largest clients, including litigation clients.

In 2019, Chris was elected as the President of ADVOC Asia. ADVOC brings together 93 law firms that benefits members and clients throughout the world.

Chris has a strong history of building and maintaining client relationships and is committed to ensuring a high standard of client service across all areas of the firm.
