Cooper Grace Ward’s property team has been announced as a finalist in the 2020 Australian Law Awards in the category of Property Team of the Year.

The announcement was made today and showcases the Brisbane-based firm along with nine other respected Australian law firms.

Organised by Lawyers Weekly, the Property Team of the Year award recognises the achievements of property teams and is judged on excellence in practice, proven benefits to clients and what sets the team apart as a leader in the property industry.

Marcus Ford, lead partner of the firm’s property practice said it is an honour to be recognised as a finalist. “It’s fantastic recognition for every member of our team to be named a finalist in the Australian Law Awards, and we are proud to be among some of Australia’s most distinguished property teams.”

“I believe our selection as a finalist recognises our team’s long history of providing outstanding client service, particularly on some very significant projects. Additionally, it recognises the growth of the practice including new team members who have impressive experience in retail leasing and management, airports and aviation-related matters and marinas.”

Managing partner Chris Ward commented: “We are also extremely proud of the COVID-19 crisis management and recovery plans we developed for clients.”

“Our property clients have continued to rely on us as trusted advisers during a year that has posed many challenges for the real estate sector.”

The winners of the awards will be announced during the live broadcast awards on Friday, 7 August.
